Our AML and Verification Policy
Verification keeps your money and your account safe. This page explains exactly when we check your identity, which documents we ask for, and what happens next, so nothing during withdrawal comes as a surprise.
Our Commitment to AML Rules
We operate Goldenpanda Casino under Curaçao licence number OGL/2024/1567/0923, issued to Golden Panda N.V. That licence obliges us to run a full anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing programme, and we treat those obligations as a floor, not a ceiling.
Our programme rests on three pillars: verifying who you are before money leaves the platform, monitoring every deposit and withdrawal for patterns that make no sense for a recreational player, and reporting suspicious activity to the authorities of our licence jurisdiction. A dedicated compliance team, headed by our Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), owns these duties and reviews our controls against UK-facing risk guidance each year.
When We Verify Your Identity
Verification triggers
We verify at three points: at registration, where we screen your details against sanctions and politically-exposed-person lists; before your first withdrawal, where full document checks apply; and at thresholds, where cumulative deposits or withdrawals crossing certain limits prompt a refresh of your file. In practice, uploading documents early avoids delays later.
- Government-issued photo ID (passport, driving licence or national ID card), valid and unexpired
- Proof of address dated within the last 3 months (utility bill, bank statement or council tax bill)
- Proof of payment method ownership (photo of the card with middle digits covered, or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your name)
Thresholds
If your cumulative deposits reach the equivalent of £2,000, or a single withdrawal request reaches £2,000 or more, we complete full Know Your Customer (KYC) verification before releasing funds. Multiple smaller transactions designed to sit under these limits are treated as one for this purpose.
How Verification Works, Step by Step
The whole route from upload to approval is handled inside your account's verification tab, and standard requests are processed within 24 to 48 hours. Most checks clear faster; only cases needing extra documents take the full window.
- Open the verification tab in your account profile and select the document type you are uploading
- Photograph or scan the original document, with all four corners and your name fully visible
- Upload the file and submit; you will see its status change from pending to review
- Our compliance team checks the document against your registered details
- You receive an email and an in-account notification with the result, or a request for clarification
| Document type | Typical review time |
|---|---|
| Photo ID | Up to 24 hours |
| Proof of address | 24 to 48 hours |
| Payment method proof | 24 to 48 hours |
| Source of funds evidence | Up to 72 hours |
Document protection
Files travel over encrypted connections and sit in access-controlled storage that only the compliance team can reach. We never share your documents with marketing or affiliate partners, and we delete them according to the retention schedule further down this page.
Why We Ask for Source of Funds
Source of funds means showing where the money you wager actually came from. We request it when deposits scale up sharply, when total deposits in a rolling period exceed £10,000, or when betting patterns are inconsistent with a salary-funded recreational player. This is not an accusation; it is a question our licence forces us to ask.
Acceptable evidence includes payslips, a tax return or HMRC letter, pension or dividend statements, a signed employment contract, or a bank statement showing the incoming funds. For crypto deposits we may ask for the origin wallet and transaction trail. You can submit source of funds documents at any time, which removes the need for the conversation later.
How We Monitor Transactions
Every deposit and withdrawal passes automated screening for structuring, third-party funding, rapid deposit-withdrawal cycling and links to flagged payment instruments. Alerts raised by these systems are reviewed by our compliance team within one business day. Withdrawals go back to the same method you used to deposit wherever technically possible; if a card or wallet was used to fund the account, it is the default destination for payouts.
Our limits are part of the monitoring framework: the minimum deposit and withdrawal is £20, the maximum withdrawal is £10,000 per day, and crypto or e-wallet payouts complete within 0 to 24 hours while cards and bank transfers take 1 to 3 business days. We charge no fees on either side of a transaction. If a withdrawal request conflicts with deposit patterns, we pause it and contact you before rejecting it.
What Happens if Verification Fails
A failed check does not mean a closed account, and it never means lost funds. If your ID does not match your registered name, we ask for corrected documents before paying out. Until the file is complete, withdrawals stay on hold and, in confirmed high-risk cases, we may suspend deposits and gameplay as well.
If you do not respond to a document request within 30 days, we freeze the account. Frozen balances remain yours and are released in full once verification succeeds, or returned to the originating payment method if verification ultimately fails. Accounts linked to sanctions lists, third-party funding or deliberate identity fraud are closed permanently, and the relevant authorities of our licence jurisdiction are informed where the law requires it.
How Long We Keep Your Documents
We retain verification records for five years after your account closes, the standard period our Curaçao licence and international AML practice require. Retention lets us answer regulator requests and audits about past activity. After the five-year window expires, documents are securely destroyed and only anonymised statistics survive. You can request a copy of your own verification file at any time by emailing [email protected], and you can close your account to start the retention clock.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I play before completing verification?
Yes. Registration screening is automatic, and full document checks are completed before your first withdrawal or when deposit thresholds are crossed. Uploading documents earlier simply speeds up payouts.
How long does verification take?
Standard document checks are processed within 24 to 48 hours. Source of funds reviews can take up to 72 hours because they are assessed case by case.
Why do withdrawals go back to my deposit method?
Same-method withdrawal is an anti-money-laundering requirement. It confirms the person withdrawing is the person who funded the account and prevents accounts being used as a money transfer channel.
What if I deposited with crypto?
Withdrawals return to a wallet you control, and we may ask you to confirm the origin wallet for larger amounts so the transaction trail is documented.
Do you share my documents with anyone?
No. Documents are stored encrypted and are accessible only to our compliance team. We share information with regulators or financial intelligence units solely where the law obliges us to.
